Anyway, Jesus had such a knowledge of death magic that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying, as you noticed. The necromancy is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful... The only thing he was afraid of of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did.

It's worth noting that in the history of tulpamancy, the metaphysical school of thought greatly predates psychological ideas. This is something that's kinda lost in recent years, and it's also why the slogan/motto of tulpa.info is "For Science!" Pleeb, Lumi, or anyone who's been around for that general amount of time could probably give a much better history lesson- I've only been around since late 2018, and this is stuff I just learned FROM people like Pleeb and Lumi and other oldfrens. Metaphysics, in this usage, also doesn't just mean "philosophy of reality." Not to mess with a dead horse topic, but Zen, and Shake in the past, and probably Proxi too, and others from even prior, sometimes use #metaphysics to shill their metaphysic philosophy systems. This IS the right place for that, but ORIGINALLY the intentions of #metaphysics was really to contain MAGICAL discussion, but the community saying "my tulpa is a magical soul entity" really didn't exactly want to be called wizards or anything like that- and the discussion was always more about "What is real, anyway?" and that's how the term "metaphysical" became used for the more magical and older lines of tulpamancy. Metaphysics is cordoned off from the rest of the forum/IRC because people of the metaphysical (read: magical) school of thought were shitting up discussions by bringing their magical beliefs into them. "Are tulpas people?" "Yes because they have souls." That's the type of person who the metaphysics side is for- to prevent the discussion from being derailed left and right by "I don't believe your religion is true." It makes it weird when #metaphysics is full of atheists mostly nowadays lol.

Honestly? The people with more metaphysical/magical bents are probably in the greater plural community (i.e., not calling themselves tulpas but "soul bonds" or other things) nowadays

That I don't have enough reference to say, sorry'. But I can say that even with the psychological belief system there's a lot to discuss in regards to tulpas and occultism. (I'm into this sort of stuff and believe tulpas are 100% psychological yet there's lots to discuss and say n such)

Semantics

Can we do MRI scans and see what feelings of love look like in the brain? Can we configure personality tests and find out what traits are best associated with lasting and caring relationships? Can we write psychology books on human relations? Sure, but on a practical level, everyone goes on a highly individual and spiritual journey- when you wake up in the morning besides someone and wonder if you love them or not, you aren't going to think back to Psych 101

When you ask "Is a tulpa sentient?" you're forced to define sentience. When you ask "Is a tulpa its own individual?" you're forced to define what makes someone an individual. We as a community decided to just say "yes" to these questions but if we bring it to science we'd have to address these elephants.

It stops people from casually doing it. With the role, people who aren't into it don't see the chat and won't get the role and nothing will arize. Without the role people who aren't into it will see the chat light up due to a new message, check what it's about, read a little and start shitting on everyone inside

People like being included in the conversation though. From my experiences with discord in general - if you tell an average user that a role unlocks more channels they will get it.

That, and I'm not certain if advertising metaphysics is something this server wants. Creating a specific role for it implies that there is a strong enough community for it.

On discord, no one can see anything until they sign up

So just add a "kicked out of #metaphysics " role that can't see this channel

I don't think there even was an option to hide metaphysics until people bitched they couldn't stop themselves from being toxic and nasty
